Health that works for people and organisations

When individuals build capacity, organisations benefit.
The challenge is not intent.

It is participation, trust, and structural follow through.

Most workplace health platforms either demand too much, measure too superficially, or fail to engage the majority of people they are meant to support.

Basis was built to solve that problem.

The problem organisations are actually facing

Workforce health initiatives fail for predictable reasons.

Participation is low or short-lived. Programmes favour those who are already fit. Challenges disconnect from real behaviour change. Data overwhelms. Trust erodes.

The result is surface-level engagement and little confidence in what is actually improving.

Basis takes a different approach.

Basis supports individuals in building strength, physical capacity, recovery, and sustainable habits in ways that fit real lives.

For organisations, this means broader participation, consistent engagement without pressure, systems-driven progress, and insight without ethical compromise. Health improves because people stay involved — not because they are pushed harder.

How we drive participation at scale

Structured programs as the foundation

Everyone starts with a finite, guided program. Clear start. Clear end. No intimidation.

Challenges layered on top, not instead

Short term challenges support focus and behaviour, without replacing the core program.

Events as re entry points

Workplace events, charity runs, and community challenges sit on top of training. They create momentum, social connection, and reasons to return.

Designed for beginners by default

Basis is built for the majority. Not just the top performers. That is why participation scales.

No reset penalty

Life interruptions do not erase progress. People continue where they left off.

Clear feedback that reinforces progress

People stay engaged when they can see movement. Basis makes progress visible through simple, meaningful metrics.

Who we are for

Organisations

For organisations that care about long-term workforce health.
Who want participation beyond the already fit.
Who value insight without ethical risk.
And are tired of short-term wellness programs that don’t last.

Leaders

For leaders who understand burnout is a systems issue.
Who want clarity, not noise.
When individuals are healthier, organisations benefit too.
Basis supports people first, without turning health into surveillance.

Insights leaders can actually see

Most dashboards show activity. Basis delivers interpretation.

Basis provides organisations with a clear, consistent decision layer that answers three questions quickly:

Are we okay right now?
Are things improving, stable, or worsening?
And where should attention be focused next?

Leaders are given an executive snapshot that orients them in seconds. Organisational health risk signals are expressed in plain language. Capacity and behaviour trends are explained, not just displayed. Participation is measured as workforce coverage rather than individual performance.

Insight is framed to support confident decisions — not create more noise.

Responsible by design

Individual health data always remains personal.

When Basis is used within organisations, data is aggregated and de-identified. There is no individual monitoring or scoring, and engagement is never tied to performance management.

Basis is not a surveillance tool. It is a preventative health support system. Trust is built into the architecture — not added later.

Where we fit (and where we don't)

Basis is a preventative health platform designed to improve participation and behaviour at scale.

We are non-clinical, evidence-led, and built to support long-term workforce health.
We are not a diagnostic or treatment service. We do not replace EAPs or clinical care. And we are not a performance monitoring tool.

Clear boundaries protect people, organisations, and long-term credibility.

FAQs

Have a question about anything else?
Get in contact with us, we'd be happy to help!

What is Basis?

Basis is a preventative health platform designed to help individuals build strength, physical capacity, recovery, and sustainable habits over time. For organisations, Basis provides a people-first approach to workforce health, supported by responsible, high-level insight into participation, capacity, and risk trends. We are not a fitness challenge platform, and we are not a clinical service.

Who is Basis designed for?

Basis is designed for the majority of people in an organisation, not just the already fit. It is beginner-friendly by default, adaptable to different roles and schedules, and built to support long-term participation rather than short-term intensity.

Is Basis suitable for people who are new to exercise?

Yes. Most Basis users start with little or inconsistent training experience. Programs are structured, progressive, and designed to meet people where they are, without intimidation or pressure.

How does Basis actually drive participation?

Participation is designed into the system. Everyone starts with a finite, guided program. Challenges are layered on top to reinforce habits. Events create momentum and natural re-entry points. Progress is never reset due to missed time. Engagement is measured as coverage, not competition

This approach consistently supports broader participation than intensity-driven wellness programs.

Are challenges mandatory?

No. Challenges are optional, short-term behaviour supports. They are designed to reinforce consistency, not replace core training or create pressure.

How do events fit into the platform?

Events sit on top of structured training. They provide shared goals, social momentum, reasons to re-engage.

Events do not replace foundational programs and are not treated as performance competitions.

How long are Basis programs?

All programs run in structured six-week blocks. This provides enough time for meaningful adaptation, while remaining psychologically manageable and compatible with real-life schedules.

Do users need a gym or equipment?

No. Programs are accessible with no equipment at entry. Equipment can be added later to support progression, but it is never required to begin.

What happens if someone stops training for a period?

Nothing is lost. Basis does not punish breaks or missed time. Users continue from where they left off, with progression guided by current capacity and recovery.

What does the organisation actually see?

Organisations see aggregated, de-identified insights only. This includes: participation coverage, high-level capacity trends, behavioural consistency signals, self-reported wellbeing patterns (directional, not diagnostic)

No individual-level health data is visible.

Is this a reporting tool or a decision-support tool?

Basis is a decision-support tool. Insights are interpreted in plain language to help leaders understand: whether things are improving or worsening, where risk may be emerging, where attention should be focused next.

It is not a raw analytics dashboard.

How often is data updated?

Participation and activity data update continuously. Organisational insights are designed to be interpreted over weekly and monthly timeframes to avoid overreaction to short-term noise.

Who owns the data?

Individuals retain ownership of their personal health data. Organisations only ever access aggregated, de-identified insights.

Can Basis data be used for performance management?

No. Basis is explicitly not a performance management or surveillance tool. Data is never linked to individual performance, remuneration, or employment decisions.

Where is data stored?

Data residency is managed deliberately. Primary data residency is in Australia. EU data residency is supported where required for GDPR compliance

This ensures regional compliance and organisational control.

How is data secured?

Basis uses a security-by-design architecture aligned with modern enterprise standards, including: Encrypted data at rest and in transit, secure identity and access management, network isolation and segmented environments, continuous monitoring and threat detection, full audit logging across environments.

Security is built into the infrastructure, not added later.

Does Basis meet enterprise security expectations?

Yes. Basis is built on AWS using established best-practice services for identity management, application security, monitoring, and compliance. Security and access controls are designed to scale across multiple organisations while maintaining strict separation and containment. Detailed security documentation can be provided during procurement or security review if required.

Is Basis a medical or diagnostic product?

No. Basis is a non-clinical preventative health platform. It does not diagnose conditions, provide medical advice, or replace clinical care.

Does Basis replace EAPs, psychologists, or allied health services?

No. Basis is designed to complement existing services by supporting physiological regulation, routine, and participation. It does not provide mental health treatment or crisis support.

How long does it take to roll out Basis?

Most organisations can pilot Basis within weeks. Rollout is lightweight and does not require complex integrations or equipment purchases.

Can we run a pilot before committing?

Yes. Pilots are encouraged and are often the best way to understand participation patterns and organisational fit.

What does success look like?

Success is defined by: broad participation across the workforce, sustained engagement over time, improving capacity and consistency trends, increased confidence in workforce health signals. Not by short-term activity spikes.
